After monitoring state and federal COVID-19 sources, the Steering Committee of High Plains Chautauqua decided to postpone the 2020 live event, scheduled for August 3-6, 2020 to 2021.
Executive Director of Colorado Humanities Margaret Coval said, “Our top priority is to ensure the safety of our audience members, volunteers, Chautauqua scholars, and staff. COVID-19 is creating uncertainty for us all. Such uncertainties hinder our ability to deliver the high-quality programming rightfully expected by the High Plains Chautauqua audience.”
